Todd
D. Della Porta is the owner
and sole operator of General Sound Entertainment. After extensive music
related study and several stage performances, Todd began hosting Karaoke
shows throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire. During most shows, patrons
would constantly question Todd about his availability for mobile functions
and so, in 1992, General Sound Entertainment was born.
Since then business has exploded, with the number of annual functions increasing
steadily. Most of General Sound’s customers are referred from previous
clients, with many considering Todd as part of their family. As one woman
said in an appreciation letter, “Nobody in our family would ever hire anyone
other than you. If they did, none of us would go!” While some General Sound
nightclub shows are done by a hired DJ, Todd still does every mobile show
himself, insisting that he does it because he genuinely loves entertaining.
“If
I can't see the people having a good time,” Todd says, “I can't be sure
that my customers are getting entertainment the way it should be!”

GENERAL
SOUND WEDDING PLANNER CHECKLIST
Courtesy of General Sound Entertainment
Ok,
so you're finally planning the day that you and your friends used to dream
about? No big deal, right? Wrong! Let's face it, there are decisions to
be made and people to be contacted and then all of the loose ends need
to be tied so that your big day is flawless. Wait a minute! Before you
decide to elope, consider this. All of the professionals who will take
part in your special day are just that... professionals. They have been
through this, in some cases hundreds of times, and have refined their skills
to the point where you can trust them in whatever capacity they may be
of service to you.
So
relax and have fun with it! Do some research, ask questions and make people
prove themselves to you. Only the best will be willing and able to do so.
We at General Sound would love to be a part of your special day. To help,
we have compiled a list of 94 things to do to make your wedding day great.
Please remember that this is only a reference and the advice given to you
by each of the professionals you hire should take precedent. The most important
item in the list is the last one at the bottom. I tell all of my brides
the same thing.
ENJOY
YOUR DAY!
Thank you for considering General Sound Entertainment.

Todd,
Thank you so much for making our wedding day a blast! You are an asset
to the agency!

Dear Todd,
I just want to take a moment to say a special “Thank You”. Having a Christmas
wedding was very stressful but you made the day perfect. You did a beautiful
job singing during the ceremony and Brian and I knew we made the right
choice in entertainment from the beginning! You were truly a joy to work
with!
Sincerely,
Brian and Robyn G.

Dear Mr. Della Porta,
I just wanted to say thanks for your solid work as DJ and MC at last Saturday's
Party. As a Free Press Veteran who's been through seven of these things
so far, I sincerely thought your performance was the best by far.
You accurately surveyed the crowd and met everyone's diverse tastes in
music. It was great to be able to really enjoy my evening instead of worrying
about the performer I'm glad we went with General Sound and would recommend
your services to anyone needing quality entertainment.

Todd,
You were the most helpful and most professional person we dealt with on
our wedding day. Tina really appreciated your help with the traditional
dances and the whole day was a smashing success.
I hope you realize how much
your performance meant to us. You truly made the most important day of
our lives, the best day of our lives.
Sincerely,
